Research Support

One of our society activities is to provide a family history enquiry service for members, and to advise them on how to meet their research objectives. There are many features on this site geared to those ends. Useful genealogical links and Country coordinators are available in this area.

Useful genealogical links covers many genealogical resources available over the Internet. They are grouped under categories and are linked to other pages or sites. We add to these as new ones become available. They are an important resource for members and country coordinators.

Country coordinators work with members and guests and advise them on how to progress their research - they have experience (or willingness to find out) of the main genealogical resources. They represent a worldwide network geared to helping members/guests and each other. They review the society's message forum (and other sites' message boards) to see if they can help with enquiries.

There are a number of names for some countries. The information shown in brackets after some of those names shows where they can provide local rather than national coverage, because of specific expertise.
