This chief of the O Donnchadha of
the Glen branch of the O Donnchadhas of Kerry had married Sadb, the daughter
of Donnchad Cairprech Ua Briain. He betrayed and was responsible for the
murder of Domnall, the Mac Carthy Mor chief.

As a result, Fingin Mac Carthy, son of the slain Mac Carthy Mor took revenge
by burning alive Sefraid, his wife and his two sons.
