*He was a lawyer, private practice; councilman and alderman of Worcester, Mass., 1927-1935; United States Navy, 1942-1945; elected as a Democrat to the Eightieth and to the thirteen succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1947-December 31, 1974); was not a candidate for reelection to the Ninety-fourth Congress in 1974.
*Died on November 4, 1984, in Worcester, Mass.
*Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester, Mass.
