Ben Dunchue, also known as Bernard Benjamin Montague Donoho/Donohoe/Donohue/Donnelly/Donchue/Dunchue. Born 14/11/1856. Father’s name possible Bernard Donohoe or Dunchue of Co.Cavan. Catholic. There is also the possibility that our man could have been born in Lanark, Glasgow, Scotland. Served on the Anchor lines from 1875 to 1876, apprenticed with Messrs. Henderson Bros.Scotland ,Glasgow. Came to South Australia 1877 Married Harriet Emma Sharp in 1881. Became First Class Engineer with Marine Board of South Australia.

Born in Dublin in 1838 and died in Iowa USA in 1897. Had a brother named Michael that is supposed to be buried in cemetery in County Roscommon.

Think Nicholas died in Athy around 1863 family migrated to Australia around 1864. Thought son Richard b 1838 became a priest. Places mentioned – Galway, Dublin, Limerick

Information required on an Elizabeth Bridget Donohoe / Odonohoe or varients. born 6 June 1869 father was an Edward/ Edwin donohoe. She was living at 36 Clarendon Street,Dublin on her Marriage to a Ralph Shearman at St Ann’s, Dawson St,Dublin on the 31 October 1891 she then went to live in England & then on to Malta, Egypt, India & Burma where all their children were born. they returned to England in 1907 and she died on the 7th November 1916 in Bristol.
