Edward arrived in the United States either in 1846 or 1848, depending on which document is regarded. He married Anastasia Hogan in Sangamon County, IL, and raised his family in Marion and Champaign Counties, IL. He was a Road Master for the Illinois/Chicago RailRoad for his entire career.
