An O’Donoghue/Donoho gathering on the island of Maui, Hawaii from Jess Donoho

Cancer is very much on our family’s mind currently and when I received this message from Jess Donoho, I was very keen to help.

And if I was 20 years younger, I would have seriously considered getting on a plane.  Back in the day I attended as many O’Donoghue events as I was able: in Australia, America and Ireland.

“My sister is Jenny Donoho-Worth, Director of the Pacific Cancer Foundation on Maui, Hawaii.  Each year they host “Paddle For Life” a two-day outrigger canoe paddle from the Island of Maui to the Island of Lana’i (see below). This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation.  Last year over 450 cancer patients, survivors, families and friends participated in the event.  This year, we hope to be bigger!

We would like to invite all O’Donoghues and families to join us in Maui, October 3-4.  We would love to host a family BBQ at the Alii hotel on Kaanapali Beach on October 2 (RSVP required, have them email me at jd@donohoinc.com).  Information is found at paddleforlifemaui.org.

If you would be so kind as to distribute, we would be grateful!”
