Joseph, Martin O’Donoghue (Donoghue) (523)

Joseph was believed to be a scaffolder and by 1891 was married and living in St Lukes area of London. I believe he married in the quarter ending June 1884 and his wife was Elizabeth Chown. I can find a record of only one son John Chown O’Donoghue age 11 on the 1891 Census and 20 on the 1901 Census. I would like information on Joseph especially prior to 1891. I am also trying to find who Joseph’s parents where.

Thomas and Michael O’Donoghue (521)

Thomas son of Michael O’Donoghue and Elizabeth Burn stated on his wedding Certificate that he was from Old Castle ….further research has lead us to believe he was originally from Cavan and then from Dublin, he also stated his father was a plumber, he himself worked as a Fireman on ships and in mines, he came to Tasmania and the story goes on ……with not many results

Pearse is my father I know he had siblings. He had a brother named Padraig(Paddy),Donal and another. He had sisters Maura(maureen I think), and Elizabeth. His father’s name was Michael and mother was Mary (I think) In 1980 or there about his Mother still lived on Lancaster Quay in Cork. I remember the house as it had a store there and my sister and I would be allowed to eat sweets from grandma when my parents weren’t watching
